Brooks trial pushed back a month
LITTLE ROCK -- The drug and weapons trial for former Arkansas defensive lineman Jermaine Brooks was pushed back a month, prosecutors said Monday.
Brooks' lawyer, W.H. Taylor of Fayetteville, asked for the delay, deputy prosecutor John Threet said. Threet said that if Taylor hadn't asked for more time, the state would have.
"We still don't have the crime lab (report) back from the drug testing yet,'' Threet said.
Brooks' trial was to have started Wednesday in Washington County
