Browns release two more players on defense

BEREA, Ohio -- The Cleveland Browns opened two more holes in their defense Thursday, releasing linebackers Jamir Miller and Earl Holmes to get under the salary cap.

Miller, the club's only Pro Bowler since 1999, was due a $14 million roster bonus that the Browns had no intention of paying.

Holmes will not get a $1 million roster bonus and, like Miller, is now an unrestricted free agent.
