Lloyd, Anderson nominated by veterans committee

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- Earl Lloyd, the first black player in the NBA, college coach Forrest Anderson and sporting goods executive Grady Lewis are getting another chance at the Basketball Hall of Fame.

The three were nominated by the veterans committee for a second year after none received the necessary votes for induction last fall. A nominee must receive 18 votes from the 24-member honors committee.
