Housley leads Americans past Slovenia
TAMPERE, Finland -- The U.S. hockey team earned its first victory at the World Championships on Friday, beating Slovenia 7-2 in the relegation round.
Phil Housley, the oldest player in the tournament at age 39, scored a goal for the Americans, who lost all three preliminary-round games and were sent to the relegation round for the first time since 1998.
