Groups could face fines of $100K
MADRID, Spain -- Sports federations could face fines of $100,000 and their leaders could be suspended for violations of a new international drug code.
The World Anti-Doping Agency on Tuesday spelled out a series of fines and other sanctions contained in the code that it hopes to have ready for next year's Athens Olympics.
The agency is to meet in Madrid on Friday with the IOC to discuss the code.
