Lalime outduels Brodeur in Game 6

When he needed the game of his life, Patrick Lalime came through in a big way for Ottawa on Wednesday night in the Senators' 2-1 overtime victory over New Jersey in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference finals. Defenseman Chris Phillips got the goal to force a decisive Game 7 on Friday night at Ottawa but Lalime was the biggest reason the Senators are still playing hockey. "Individuals who have won the Cup always get the benefit of the doubt," Ottawa coach Jacques Martin told reporters after the game. "But I think you are seeing, this year in the playoffs, a new -- not a new era, but a new phase of goaltenders that are really stepping it up. And Patrick is one of them."
