Top 100 guard selects UCLA

Class 2004 guard Jordan Farmar, a Top 100 prospect from Woodland Hills-Taft, Cal., has committed to the UCLA Bruins and coach Ben Howland over Florida, Arizona and Gonzaga. The Bruins recently gained Top 100 guard Aaron Affalo of Compton-Centennial, Cal.

Sophomore forward/center Brian Thornton of Louisville-Manuel, Kty., who gained a release from Vanderbilt, will transfer to Xavier. Thornton, who averaged 11.5 points, started 24 of 29 games last season for the Commodores. He also drew interest ...
