The Buffalo Bills got rave reviews for their draft decisions and offseason maneuvers, and deservedly so. But one thing that has been glossed over is the loss of Peerless Price. Price was an integral part of the Bills' explosive offense, and the loss of his speed on the outside will be a factor.

The Bills will still have an effective offense, but Price's departure is a serious blow. He will be replaced by second-year wideout Josh Reed, a former Biletnikoff Award winner.

Reed did have a slightly higher yards-per-catch average than Price (13.8 to 13.3), but Price is a much faster and a much better deep threat. Price's speed helped take the pressure off Eric Moulds, but now the Bills don't have a player who is a serious vertical threat. Moulds does have speed, but he's now used as more of a possession receiver.
