Kidd's shooting problems not a surprise
Jason Kidd's chronic shooting problems resurfaced in Game 1, as the point guard missed 13 of 17 shots.

Jason Kidd took 17 shots last night for the New Jersey Nets on the opening night of the 2003 NBA Finals against the San Antonio Spurs and all we can talk about is the 13 that he missed. "There's no excuse for me personally. I didn't shoot the ball extremely well," he said in the NY Post. "That's not always what I'm known for." But it didn't start out that way. Just five seconds into the game, he hit the first jumper he took. Only 37 seconds later, he connected on the second jumper that he took. With 11:18 to go in the First Quarter, Jason Kidd was 2 for 2 and the Nets were winning, 4-0.
