Williams picks UNC over 'Zona and Washington

Considered one of the nation's Top Ten prospects in Class 2004, forward Marvin Williams of Bremerton, Wash., has chosen North Carolina.

The 6-8 Williams, who picked the Tar Heels over Washington and Arizona, averaged 23.9 points and 12 rebounds as a junior. He is the first recruit at UNC for Coach Roy Williams. Top 100 guard JamesOn Curry, a Class 2004 prospect from Mebane-Eastern Alamance, NC., recently re-affirmed his commitment to North Carolina that he made when Matt Doherty was coach.
