Defending a Super Bowl championship is not easy, which is why only seven teams have done it, and only one in the last 10 seasons.

Among the obstacles to overcome is ego. When a team wins a championship, players expect financial rewards to follow. Super Bowl MVP Dexter Jackson certainly found his golden parachute, leaving Tampa for a $14 million payday in Arizona.

While few other Bucs left in search of free-agent fortunes, there is still a heavy competition for cap-room dollars. Simeon Rice got his big contract, but Warren Sapp and Anthony McFarland still are looking for extensions, and cornerback Brian Kelly wants the final five years of his deal torn up.
