Chargers' secondary still undecided

The Chargers' defense collapsed after they lost their two best defensive linemen to injury, and it finished ranked dead last against the pass. While the return of Marcellus Wiley and Jamal Williams will help, Marty Schottenheimer decided to remake the defense, releasing standout linebacker Junior Seau and reworking the entire defensive secondary. His new defense will play a lot more bump and run coverage and will blitz more if the line cannot improve on last year's poor pass rush. The offense is gearing up to be much improved after picking up the hulking wide receiver David Boston from the Cardinals and Pro Bowl fullback Lorenzo Neal. Boston has the potential to take over a game, and both will provide even better blocking for LaDainian Tomlinson.
