Detroit Red Wings: Dominik Hasek was back on the ice for the first time since he won the Stanley Cup in 2002 and the Dominator said he was so excited he couldn't sleep. "It's nice to be back. I'm excited to be playing hockey again," Hasek told The Detroit News. New Jersey Devils: Although he is keeping his options open, unrestricted free agent center Joe Nieuwendyk will likely re-sign with New Jersey. Nieuwendyk, who will turn 37 Wednesday, told the Bergen Record that his agent, Rick Curran, will speak with the Devils on Monday. Toronto Maple Leafs: Although Toronto's biggest priority is improving defense, the Maple Leafs are showing interest in free agent forward Magnus Arvedson. The former Senators winger's agent told the Toronto Sun that he expected to talk with the Leafs this week.
