Despite constantly facing double teams in Pittsburgh's 37-26 win, the talented sophomore caught seven passes for 135 yards and three touchdowns. Two of the touchdown catches were spectacular.

Most impressive was his last touchdown catch, a 49-yarder in which Fitzgerald bent over backwards then caught the ball over his head while defended by three Texas A&M players.
