George Brett's pine-tar homer, 1983July 24, 1983: Brett's go-ahead homer off Goose Gossage in the 9th is originally ruled an out due to excessive pine tar on his bat -- and sets off a memorable Brett firestorm. The home run is later allowed and the game continued.
