Hasek agreed to pay cut

Lost amid the awkward feelings surrounding Dominik Hasek's return to Detroit and the imminent trade of Curtis Joseph is this: Hasek agreed to take a pay cut in order to return to Hockeytown.

The Dominator was due to make a base salary of $8 million for the upcoming season and would have been due another $1 million if the club won the Stanley Cup.
