A team-by-team look at how the WAC fared so far this season.

Boise State

Third-year coach Dan Hawkins has built himself some kind of program, now 25-6 since taking over in 2001. The Broncos saw a 13-game win streak dating to last season snapped at Oregon State on Sept. 20, but is still tied with Nevada for first in conference at 2-0.

Just a few weeks ago, Boise State set school records for total yards (732), passing yards (559), completions (41) and attempts (61) in a 43-37 win against Louisiana Tech. Key players who have stepped up include running back David Mikell and wide receiver Tim Gilligan offensively, while junior linebacker Andy Avalos continues to lead one of the league's best defenses.
