Hull unhappy with the game
Brett Hull is fed up with the clutching, grabbing and trapping that has made the game a chess match on ice.
After Detroit's 4-1 victory over Columbus on Thursday night, Hull lamented about all the clutching, grabbing and trapping that has made the game what he called a chess match on ice.
"You saw the game. It was gross," Hull told The Detroit News. "I shouldn't say that because I don't want people to think the game is no fun and then they don't want to come to watch us play. But as a player who knows the game -- that is gross hockey. It's not fun for me to watch or be involved in. There is no skill involved.
