Toronto Maple Leafs: Former Maple Leafs executive Bill Watters said there's an easy solution to getting the league back on track after years of declining quality. Fire Gary Bettman, Watters told listeners on his Toronto radio show, adding that many of the elements of the game players hate have been implemented during Bettman's 10-plus years as NHL commissioner.
Los Angeles Kings: Police arrested Kings forward Ziggy Palffy early Sunday morning on suspicion of domestic battery after a distressed woman called police from his home. Palffy lives in Manhattan Beach with his fiancee, but police wouldn't release the name of the woman who had the confrontation with Palffy and placed the call. Colorado Avalanche: Avalanche center Joe Sakic better be careful because he might be next to get hurt like his two linemates. Colorado winger Teemu Selanne joined his buddy Paul Kariya on the sidelines Tuesday night because of a sore knee.
