Pair wins first race in return from injuries

PARK CITY, Utah -- Americans Mark Grimmette and Brian Martin overcame slow starts with smooth driving to win doubles gold in World Cup luge at the Utah Olympic Park on Friday.

Grimmette and Martin sat out the season's first three races while recovering from injuries. On Friday, they made up precious time on the lower sections of the 12-curve track to win with a two-run time of 1:28.055 under overcast skies and temperatures near freezing.
