Buffalo Sabres: Although Buffalo GM Darcy Regier said he is not actively shopping forward Miroslav Satan, sources tell The Buffalo News that Sabres owner B. Thomas Golisano wants to dump the slumping Slovakian and his high salary.

Boston Bruins: Any team could have grabbed Rob Zamuner from the Bruins, but the Boston left winger's $2 million contract scared away any takers before he cleared waivers Tuesday.

Pittsburgh Penguins: We've heard more from Saddam Hussein in the past three weeks than we have from Mario Lemieux. The secrecy surrounding the Pittsburgh captain's hip injury is causing increased speculation that his season, and perhaps his career, is over.
