Dallas goaltender regaining form
The Stars are slowly climbing back to respectability and Marty Turco deserves much of the credit.
Just as he deservedly received a lot of the blame for the Stars' 11-15-3 start, Turco has looked more like the goalie who led the league in save percentage (.932), had the lowest goals-against average since World War II (1.72) and was a Vezina Trophy finalist last season.
"The elite teams in the league all have a guy they rely on in that fashion. That's an awful lot of pressure on one guy, but that's just the way it is," Stars head coach Dave Tippett told The Dallas Morning News. "The responsibility of being a No. 1 goaltender in this league was something he strived for last year. Now he's getting back to that same form."
