In June, a syringe arrived at the offices of the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency, the Olympic drug-testing organization in Colorado Springs. A tip accompanying the envelope claimed the syringe contained an undetected steroid that was being used in track and field. Two months later, scientists discovered it was the designer steroid THG.
