New Jersey Devils: Having the best goalie in the world allows Devils head coach Pat Burns to concentrate on the rest of the team. Burns doesn't even need to waste his time wondering when to play a backup because No. 1 goalie Martin Brodeur basically gets to decide when he needs a rest.

Pittsburgh Penguins: Mario Lemieux is out for the year and goaltending sensation Marc-Andre Fleury might be sent back to juniors. What do the Pittsburgh Penguins have to look forward to? Hopefully some run 'n' gun hockey and probably the No. 1 overall pick in the entry draft and future star Alexander Ovechkin.

Ottawa Senators: Ottawa is riding a 10-game unbeaten streak (8-0-2), but the Senators got some bad news Tuesday when it was learned gritty winger Vaclav Varada will miss the rest of the season because of knee surgery to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament.
