The big story on this year's course is the inclusion of a large step-up as the second-to-last jump on the 3,200-foot course. Racers seemed divided over whether to take the step-up at full tilt—which could leave them in the air for too long and drop them on the flats—or speed check on the pre-jump, allowing a quicker landing but potentially coming up short.
