Raptors must pay Huffman remainder of contract
The Toronto Raptors quietly suffered a significant loss Friday when an independent arbitrator ruled that the Raptors must pay Nate Huffman the remaining $2.56 million on his terminated contract.
Huffman signed a three-year, $5.2-million contract before last season, but the Raptors terminated the deal last January after six months. The team said that Huffman had not fully disclosed his medical history, namely a pattern of knee problems, before signing the contract.
