Germany captures doubles title
NAGANO, Japan -- Germany won the men's doubles at the luge world championships Saturday, with the U.S. team of Mark Grimmette and Brian Martin finishing third.
Silke Kraushaar gave Germany its second victory of the day by leading a top-three sweep for her country in women's singles. Germany also won Friday's team event.
In men's doubles, Patric Leitner and Alexander Resch posted the two fastest times at the Nagano Spiral -- 49.279 and 49.651 seconds for a combined 1:38.930.
