Who is the next Rodney Harrison?

So often it's a moderately priced free agent that really puts a team over the top.

The NFL free-agency period is a week old and already gobs of cash have been thrown around on players.

The Washington Redskins inked Clinton Portis and Shawn Springs to monster contracts. Other players, like Champ Bailey, Jevon Kearse, Grant Wistrom, Antoine Winfield and Damien Woody can now purchase small islands thanks to the generosity of their new teams.

Such players can have a great impact on their respective squads, but so often it's a moderately priced free agent that really puts a team over the top. Last year, Rodney Harrison in New England and Stephen Davis in Carolina fit that description. There have been a few players signed so far that could have a similar influence on the 2004 season.
