Bad handoff counters Greene's strong run

AUSTIN -- It's been a while since Maurice Greene felt what it was like to cross the finish line in first place.

Last season he battled injuries and lost his title as the world's fastest man to Tim Montgomery.

Greene was back on track at the Texas Relays on Saturday. But he had to contend with a bad handoff from teammate Ato Boldon, and USA Red team anchor J.J. Johnson edged out Greene at the finish line to take the 4x100-meter gold medal.
