Heyl, Shipley also on national squad

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Scott Parsons secured a spot on the U.S. national team by winning the men's kayak for the second day in a row Sunday, the last day of the U.S. Olympic Team Trials.

Men's kayak paddlers Bret Heyl and Scott Shipley also made the team on the last day of the U.S. Olympic team trials.

Shipley beat out Scott Mann for the final slot on the team by just hundredths of a percentage point.

Olympic team members will be selected after World Cup races.
