Tampa Bay Buccaneers: The club signed former University of Mississippi TE Doug Zeigler to a contract Tuesday, according to the Tampa Tribune. Zeigler (6'4", 254) was a second-team Coaches All-SEC selection as a junior in 2001, but his 2002 season lasted only four games because of a broken leg. The move lessens the need of the Bucs to select a tight end on the first day of the draft.
Miami Dolphins: OL Solomon Page played with the San Diego Chargers last season, but he may start his season on the opposite coast. The 28-year-old Page, who started seven games last season with the Chargers, was in town Tuesday visiting the Dolphins. "(The Dolphins) need a right tackle, and he has experience everywhere on the line," agent Angelo Wright told the Palm Beach Post. "He was playing most of last season on one leg, so he's trying to reestablish himself as a high-echelon player. They have an interest." The Dolphins also have expressed interest in Houston Texans RT Greg Randall.
