Philadelphia Flyers: The morning before Game 2 of the Eastern Conference finals, Flyers head coach Ken Hitchcock took a new approach to one-time sniper John LeClair's inability to score in these playoffs. "If he doesn't score the rest of the series, we can still win it. We don't need him to score," Hitchcock told the Delaware County Times.
Hitchcock wasn't happy over the repeated replays of Philadelphia's Donald Brashear clotheslining Tampa Bay's Tim Taylor in the third period when tempers were flaring in Game 2 Monday night. "You can't incite the fans that way. It's a very dangerous situation. That can't happen. The fans were mad from what they saw on the screen. If that was in Philadelphia, it would be a mess, a huge mess," Hitchcock told the Tampa Tribune.
