Fifty years after Brown vs. Board of Ed., racism remains a problem in this country, and sometimes athletes are involved.

May 17 is the 50th anniversary of Brown vs. the Board of Education, the landmark Supreme Court decision that led to the integration of America's schools. Just two weeks prior to this anniversary, the Georgia Supreme Court struck down a prior decision involving an African-American high school student-athlete, which showed that, while we have made progress on racial issues, we still have a long way to go.
