Figuring out what type of player to choose at each position when drafting individual defensive players is a breeze. Deciding on the right one is the tricky part.

A quick study of the numbers reveals some fairly consistent trends that help a fantasy owner nail down what positions and styles generate the best production within their league at the three most commonly used fantasy designations: defensive line, linebacker and defensive back. But after narrowing down the criteria, how can the field be whittled down even further?
