College football lends itself to forward thinkers, people who immerse themselves in future schedules, the high school recruiting craze, redshirts, grayshirts and the like.

Many fans spend more time envisioning their teams in two or three years than relishing what's in front of them.

At Louisville, much of the buzz this fall has centered on freshman QB Brian Brohm, a high school standout who shunned several BCS teams to follow his Cardinal bloodlines and stay at home. The local fascination with Brohm -- whose older brother Jeff, a former NFL signal-caller, is the team's QB coach -- is understandable, but it's important not to forget about the man who still occupies the top spot in Louisville's offense.

After all, Stefan LeFors has done exactly what's been asked of him.
