Editor's note: Our scouts roll back the tape on Week 5 in the NFL:

Michael Vick

  • Michael Vick continues to look very uncomfortable in the West Coast offense. He is not natural in his movements and is trying to be the "perfect" quarterback. The most alarming thing about his play is his carelessness with the ball and lack of accuracy. He struggled with his touch passes and fumbled twice against the Detroit on Sunday.

It may be a little early to press the panic button, but he is not improving from week to week, and when the Atlanta defense does not play lights out, the Falcons are in big trouble.

    Daunte Culpepper
    Culpepper

  • Daunte Culpepper has dramatically improved his play-action fake and overall ball handling. He did a great job of hiding the ball and completely froze the Texans' secondary on a big touchdown pass to Randy Moss.

  • The Cardinals' defensive collapse in the fourth quarter was a shock after the defense had not allowed a touchdown in the previous 13 quarters. Defensive coordinator Clancy Pendergast has designed simplistic schemes that don't utilize a lot of blitzes, but the schemes are working and the players are playing hard.
