Jerry Rice is hoping to keep his career alive with a move to Seattle. And while it might give him a few last gasps of productivity, he's unlikely to deliver enough statistically to help most fantasy teams.

Rice had become invisible in Oakland, yet he could contribute in multiple ways with the Seahawks. He might become the reliable option on key passing downs that Matt Hasselbeck has been missing. He could also serve as a mentor of sorts to Hasselbeck, who could use a calming influence in pressure situations. Rice's presence could help Hasselbeck's production, because he still has good hands, and he gives the Seattle offense a veteran presence who can teach his new teammates how to win when it counts.
