Fantasy Dozen: LJ, Volek carry teams

Time to focus on the dozen things that crossed my mind as I watched the weekend's games.

  • In Larry Johnson we trust: We saw more than glimpses from this guy the last few weeks, when he scored four touchdowns and broke one big run after another. It's obvious the guy can play. And like with Drew Brees, we don't care yet what happens in the offseason or where he ends up. Just worry about now. And now LJ is terrific, adding another two touchdown runs Sunday and 151 yards. Johnson is possibly a top-5 back with games against Oakland and already-clinched San Diego remaining. Johnson should dominate the Raiders in Week 16.

  • Oh no, T.O.! If you're a Terrell Owens owner, you should already be thinking about other options for Week 16, and quite possibly Week 17 as well. Looks like Andy Reid won't have to don those special tights after all, which is the only good news to come from Owens grotesquely wrenching his knee and ankle. You think Philly can win without him? The Eagles needed a late TD just to beat the Cowboys. Give T.O. these two weeks off, enjoy the bye, and Owens gets a full month off. Phill would be nuts to risk playing him. And don't grab Todd Pinkston in fantasy. He had another moment Sunday in which his alligator arms couldn't quite reach a pass as the steaming locomotive safety came at him. Looks like Donovan McNabb and Brian Westbrook will have to carry the Eagles.
