MLB, union to give $1M; Yanks, too
Major League Baseball's 30 teams and the players' association will combine to donate $1 million to tsunami relief efforts as the sports world continues to respond with open hearts and wallets.
In addition, the New York Yankees will donate $1 million from the proceeds of their season opener against the Boston Red Sox on April 3.
