There are times — some daily, some seasonal — when bass just won't respond to our customary patterns for catching them. And these are the times to try Uncle Homer's stratagems for turning on lockjawed lunkers.

Squirmy worm: No doubt the plastic worm is one of the all-time best-catching bass lures. And no doubt there are times when bass will not respond, despite your best offerings. That's when you try this:
