There is a certain class of bass catchermen who rarely go bassless. Over threescore years, I have met three with this rare gift. I call it "the tactile touch." And if you have the desire to join this eclectic group, let Uncle Homer share this methodology with you:

THE FIRST tactile toucher I shared a boat with was Billy Burns, a Kentucky tobacco farmer. We had fished together several times and I never noticed his tactility until the day he outfished me about 5 to 1 on bass.
