All-time winningest lures

Whatever happened to the plastic worm? In the early days of the Bassmaster Tournament Trail, if you weren't fishing a worm, you probably weren't cashing a check.

However, an analysis of tournament winning lures during the past 34 years of competitive fishing shows that the percentage of tournaments in which worms played a winning role has steadily declined. In the beginning (1967-72), Fliptails, Scoundrels and other standard Texas-rigged worms accounted for 72.4 percent of winning patterns.
