Nittany Lions must find weapons
Joe Paterno is hoping to build a capable offense that can take some pressure off his already stellar defense.
The offense was so bad -- finishing 105th out of 117 Division I-A teams -- that even after signing All-American wide receiver Derrick Williams, the Nittany Lions have decided to move three defensive players to the other side of the ball.
Safeties Jim Kanuch and Ethan Kilmer and 163-pound cornerback Deon Butler have converted to receiver to give the position more speed and some depth.
