Hasselbeck expendable after Skins draft Campbell

The Washington Redskins pared down a crowded quarterback depth chart Wednesday afternoon, releasing three-year veteran Tim Hasselbeck, who became the odd-man out when the team invested a first-round draft choice on Jason Campbell of Auburn.

It has been speculated since the addition of Campbell that Hasselbeck might not make it to training camp, given that he rated no better than fourth in the team's quarterback pecking order, behind veterans Patrick Ramsey and Mark Brunell, and Campbell. ...
