The class of 2006 could be on a record pace for commitments, with 47 of the top 100 already locked in for the November signing period, according to Scout.com recruiting analyst Dave Telep. Many coaches have told ESPN.com during the first 10 days of the July evaluation period how alarming it is that so many players had already committed. The second 10-day recruiting period begins Friday, with most coaches heading to Las Vegas or Orlando -- where they won't find too many rising seniors still open.
