Virginia beats Connecticut to win title

PORTLAND, Ore. -- Jamie Bell went 3-for-4 to lead McLean, Va., to a 6-2 win over Orange, Conn., in the title game of the Little League Softball World Series on Thursday.

Bell, the only holdover from the team that finished as the runner-up in last year's tournament, drove home two runs and scored another.

Jilly Falle, the coach's daughter, got the complete-game win, allowing two unearned runs on eight hits. She worked out a bases-loaded jam in the bottom of the sixth inning, ...
