Last week, the St. Louis Cardinals' charity arm, Cardinals Care, announced a joint raffle with United Way to give away the opportunity to press the button that will collapse 40-year-old Busch Stadium. The Cards soon will sell raffle chances for $10 each. About 250 people will be selected from the drawing for a pre-implosion gathering, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, with one winning the right to blow up the stadium. The newspaper says the Cardinals tentatively plan to take down the stadium 20 days after the final game is played this season.
