The Miami Herald reported that Unrestricted, a monthly magazine published by the Florida Panthers, had Marlins pitcher Josh Beckett on the cover last month and Miami Heat head coach Stan Van Gundy on the cover this month. Beckett was promptly traded to Boston and Van Gundy stepped down earlier this week. Van Gundy stepped down because he said he wanted to spend more time with his family, which is interesting considering that the magazine's headline was "Family Stan: Van Gundy and his most important team." I went back one issue further and found "Mr. Marlin" Jeff Conine on the cover. Conine, who played seven years and picked up two World Series rings with the Marlins, recently announced he's not coming back to the team.

I noticed this morning that Shaquille O'Neal's Icy Hot Patch commercial has a new twist. He no longer appears in Lakers colors and now is wearing a red and black jersey representative of the Heat.
