Bassmaster's 2006 Boating Guide: Get Hi-Tech

The electronics market is changing rapidly and prices are dropping faster than a 1-ounce jig. Lowrance and Eagle, for example, have announced that several of last year's models will sell from $50 to $400 less this season.

Why? Better technology, a highly competitive market for screens and computer chips, and more buying power for sonar and navigational tool manufacturers.

Color continues to be the rage, and we're sticking to our predictions that gray screens will be history within the next four years.
