Vols coach able to fulfill UK promise

Pearl's wisdom
• Kentucky coach Tubby Smith has taken some heat for not recruiting Tennessee guard Chris Lofton out of high school. No coach can recruit every player, and every coach misses out on some unpolished gems. But when it happens at Kentucky, the blame flies like crazy.

Few coaches in America would have passed on Joe Crawford, Rajon Rondo or Randolph Morris in favor of Lofton, but Lofton has turned out to be a great player and one of the best shooters in the country.
